The Baltimore Orioles sign Brad Hennessey
The Orioles have signed 28-year old righty pitcher Brad Hennessey to a minor league contract. Hennessey pitched in 17 games (4 starts) for the Giants last season and he was 1-2 with a 7.81 ERA and a 1.93 WHIP. The thing the Orioles like the most about Hennessey is that he can start or relieve. He was in fact a stopper for part of one season with the Giants and he was effective in that role. Hennessey has now pitched in 148 games (44 starts) in his major league career and he is 17-23 with 20 saves, a 4.69 ERA and a 1.49 WHIP. This was a very good signing for the Orioles and the price was definately right.
