The Baltimore Orioles have signed Adam Greenberg to a minor league deal
The Orioles have signed 31-year old lefty swinging outfielder Adam Greenberg to a minor league deal. Greenberg played in 1 game for the Marlins last year and he was 0 for 1 as he whiffed against N.L. Cy Young Award winner R.A. Dickey. He only has played in 1 other game in his major league career, and he got hit by a pitch in his only at bat in that game. Greenberg last played in the minors in 2011 in Independent ball. Greenberg has played in 1,021 games in his first 10 years in the majors and he is 940 of 3,569 (.263 avg, .755 OPS) with 622 runs scored, 43 homers, 324 RBIs and 254 stolen bases. Greenberg will likely start the 2013 season in AA or AAA-ball for the Orioles.
