He played in 70 games in A+AA-ball for the Braves last year and he was 62 of 215 (.288 avg, .759 OPS) with 32 runs scored, 3 homers, 28 RBIs and 3 stolen bases. Smith has now played in 456 games in his first six years in the minors and he is 485 of 1,603 (.303 avg, .819 OPS) with 249 runs scored, 44 homers, 259 RBIs and 67 stolen bases. Smith will likely start his career with the Orioles in AA or AAA-ball in 2013.
