The Baltimore Orioles sign Mark Hendrickson
The Orioles have signed 38-year old lefty starter/reliever Mark Hendrickson to a minor league deal. He didn’t pitch anywhere last year. He has pitched in 113 games (12 starts) in his first three years with the Orioles and he is 8-11 with 1 save, a 4.80 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP. Hendrickson has now pitched in 328 games (166 starts) in his first 10 years in the majors and he is 58-74 with 1 save, a 5.03 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP. Hendickson is going to be a big time longshot to win a job in the Orioles’ pen this spring, as he will more than likely start the 2013 season in the minors and work his way back to Baltimore.
