27-year old lefty swinging 1B Chris Davis has brought his whooping stick to Tampa to start the 2013 season for the Orioles.  He has played in 2 games for the Orioles so far this year and he is 5 for 8 (.625 avg, 2.292 OPS) with 3 runs scored, 2 doubles, 2 homers and 7 RBIs.  He has also walked 1 time while only whiffing 1 time.  Davis didn’t hit his bombs off stiffs either as he hit them off lefty reliever Jake McGee and righty starter Jeremy Hellickson.  The Orioles hope that Davis stays in the zone he’s in right now for a while, as he is hitting everything really hard so far this year.
