The Ravens were down 13-7 at the half last Sunday, but they came out breathing fire on both sides of the ball in the second half. Joe Flacco completed 21 of 36 passes for 240 yards with 3 TD passes and 0 INTs. He also carried the ball 3 times for 12 yards (4.0 ypc). Bernard Pierce led the way on the ground for the Ravens in this game with 9 carries for 52 yards (5.8 ypc). Ray Rice had a rough game as he carried the ball 19 times for 48 yards (2.5 ypc) with 1 TD run and he also caught 3 passes for 22 yards (7.3 avg). WR Torrey Smith (4 rec, 69 yards), WR Anquan Boldin (5 rec, 60 yards, 2 TD catches) and TE Dennis Pitta (5 rec, 55 yards, 1 TD grab) led the way in the passing game for the Ravens. The Ravens finished up with 121 yards rushing on 33 carries (3.7 ypc) and they also completed 21 of 36 passes (58.3%) for 235 yards as they had possession of the ball for 31:06.
The Ravens gave up a lot of yards in this game, but they made big plays when they had to. LB Ray Lewis (14 tackles), CB Corey Graham (11 tackles) and safety Bernard Pollard (9 tackles and 1 pass defensed) led the way for the Ravens on D in this game. DE Terrell Suggs (7 tackles, 1 QB hit), CB Cary Williams (6 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception), LB Dannell Ellerbe (5 tackles, 1 pass defensed, 1 QB hit and 1 interception) and DE Arthur Jones (fumble recovery) also pitched in for the Ravens. The Patriots finished up with 108 yards rushing on 28 carries (3.9 ypc) and they also completed 29 of 54 passes (53.7%) for 320 yards. The Ravens will play the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl!
